Tennessee Whiskey for the Wild in Spirit: Best of 2023
In 2023, our Lemon Ice Cookie Cream liqueur Lemon Ice Cookie Cream Liqueur won American Distilling Institute’s (ADI) Best of Class award in the International Spirits Competition.. Still, our Tennessee whiskeys are just as worthy of a seat at the head of the table. Some of our other spirits did receive mentions at the ADI, and they’re likely to be spotlighted here, too, as we look back at our best whiskeys of 2023.
Why We’re Known For Our Whiskey
By law, Tennessee whiskey must be produced in Tennessee, distilled from at least 51% corn, and aged in oak barrels.
Tennessee Whiskey is a historical institution. Our ancestors have been distilling whiskey in the Tennessee area for centuries, and even though the prohibition stopped Tennessee distillers from legally selling their whiskey, our state became known for the wild adventures of its bootleggers and speakeasies.
Old Tennessee Distilling Company takes this history seriously. We keep our distillation methods as close to tradition as possible and ensure our spirits are farm-to-bottle. The liquor that goes into our bottles is created from locally grown produce; handmade by master brewers, this is authentic Tennessee Whiskey at its finest.

Old Tennessee Premium American Whiskey is distilled from the finest American corn, malted barley, and wheat. 100 Proof and 50% alcohol, this is one genuinely wild spirit. If straight whiskey is too strong for your taste, in November, we enjoyed it in a pumpkin spice latte (with a kick). In this cold weather, it’s the perfect pick-me-up.
