Valentine’s Day Drinks
The most romantic day of the year is almost here. Ladies, you get a little extra romance this year since the Super Bowl is the day before Valentine’s Day, virtually guaranteeing that your man won’t even think about Valentine’s Day until Monday morning. Don’t worry; we’ll teach you how to use that to your advantage.
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and it’s similar for the ladies. Yes, you love good food; you also love good drinks. That’s where we come in. We’re here to create the best drinks to go with the theme of any night. Wine and champagne are great, but perhaps a bit overrated. We’d prefer mixed drinks that have a bit more significance. So we’re breaking down our favorite cocktails in which you can feel the love.
Frosty Margarita
1 oz. Dumplin Creek Frost Moonshine
1 oz. Tail of the Dragon Triple Sec
1 oz. raspberry syrup
1 oz. lime juice
This is the perfect pre-dinner drink regardless of what you’re eating. It’s a fruity and flavorful surprise in a cup.
Old Fashioned 101
2 oz. Thunder Road 101 Bourbon
0.5 oz. maple syrup
5 dashes of orange bitters
Orange peel for garnish
1-2 Marishino cherries for garnish
If your man is cooking up a steak, this old-fashioned is all you need. We all know that syrup is sugar, but the maple flavor adds so much to your bourbon you’ll wish you thought of it sooner.
Corn Whiskey Lemonade
2 oz. Thunder Road Corn Whiskey
1 oz. lemon juice
Top with club soda
This whiskey lemonade goes surprisingly well with seafood and pasta. The ratios in this work give you the refreshing taste of lemon water, but all grown up and much better. Lemons enhance the fresh flavors of any seafood dish and allow the mildness of classic pasta to shine through.
Creme Brulee ‘n Coffee
2 oz. Creme Brulee Cream Liqueur
4 oz. cold brew coffee
No meal is complete without dessert – especially on Valentine’s Day. This creme brulee coffee pairs well with any chocolate dessert and is sweet enough to be a dessert on its own. The freshly brewed coffee will give you a bit of energy after some great food and even better drinks, and the creme brulee cream liqueur is the perfect way to end the night.
These are just a few of our favorite Valentine’s Day-inspired recipes. There’s something special about creating everything from scratch for someone you love.
