Best Drinks For Tennessee Football Season
As football season starts, we want to stay a step ahead of the game with our drinks line-up for Fall. In support of the Tennessee Vols football season, we’re painting the town orange, so you can show your friends your fighting Vols spirit at your next get-together.
These are our top four Tennessee football-inspired orange cocktails.
The Tangerine Moonshine Mixer
We’re off to a roaring start with this drink. At 98 Proof, our Tangerine moonshine packs a punch (and makes ahelluva one!) and is perfect for a game-day gathering.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Dumplin Creek Tangerine Moonshine
- 2 oz. cranberry juice
- A squeeze of lime
- Club soda
Pour the moonshine and cranberry juice into a tall glass filled with ice. Top up with club soda and finish with a squeeze of lime juice. This party starter can be adjusted to suit your preferences. So if you prefer a more sour than sweet drink, reduce the cranberry juice and add a touch more lime.
The Orange Julius
This cocktail is all about celebrating the Vols. Think sweet and zesty orange paired with creamy sophistication, the Orange Julius is a must-have at any Fall football event.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Dumplin Creek Orange Dreamsicle Moonshine
- 2 oz. french vanilla creamer
- 2 oz. orange juice
Combine the moonshine and orange juice in a short glass and gently stir in the creamer. A few blocks of ice can be added to this cocktail for a cooler kick. If you want to show off, garnish the glass with some burnt orange peel.
Peach Cosmo
Impress your guests with your cocktail-making skills and serve them peach cosmos. This moonshine is proudly Tennesseean with fruity notes of the indigenous Appalachian peach evoking long summer days.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Dumplin Creek Red Haven Peach Moonshine
- 2 oz. cranberry juice
- 0.5 oz. orange juice
- 0.25 oz. lime juice
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker, and once mixed, pour into a tall glass over ice. Throw in some sliced cucumber or berries to make it a showstopper.
Mango Tea
Ice tea and moonshine; these two proudly Southern drinks are the perfect blend to support the Tennessee Vols. This cocktail is quick and easy to make, and if you’re having friends over to watch the game, make a pitcher of Mango Tea. Less time preparing drinks means more time in front of the game!
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Dumplin Creek Toasted Mango Moonshine
- 4 oz. tea
If you’re making individual drinks, pour the moonshine into a tumbler with a couple of ice blocks. Top up the glass with a chilled tea of your choice. If you’re making a pitcher, increase the quantities according to your need. This recipe is versatile, so have fun using different types of tea. Plain, herbal, or fruity, the choice is yours; just make sure whatever you choose pairs well with mango! If you want to add garnish, choose lemon slices or mint leaves for both look and flavor.
