PB&J Skrewball
Few things remind you of childhood, like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so are you looking for a way to tie together the wistful nostalgia of your childhood in the guise of an adult beverage? Look no further than the PB&J Skrewball!
This deliciously nutty peanut butter and jelly libation features Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and cranberry juice: a unique approach to a couple of old classics. If you don’t like cranberry juice, you could always mix it up with something else like Chambord for a sweeter flavor. After all, everybody likes a different jelly flavor on their sandwiches, and cocktails are no different!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey
- 1 ounce of Unsweetened cranberry juice
- 1 teaspoon Tail of the Dragon Triple Sec
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake them up to combine. We strongly recommend using unsweetened cranberry juice instead of cranberry cocktail because it provides more balance between tart and sweet in the cocktail. Old Tennessee Distilling Co.’s Triple Sec adds a hint of sophistication, and for some reason, it just makes it taste even more like the PB&J of our youth. If you don’t have any, swing by our distillery to pick up a bottle (or two). Cointreau or Grand Marnier could also make an excellent substitute in a pinch.
But wait, there’s more! You can’t have a cocktail without the garnish. Imagine a garnish of a tiny PB&J sandwich. What could be more adorable than that? But a skewer or raspberries or a blackberry topped with a dollop of peanut butter would also be both tasty and beautiful. Our Moonshine Cherries would also feature beautifully atop this beverage.
Not a fan of peanut butter? Our Old Tennessee Distilling Co. corn whiskey and Butcher’s Bourbon are always delicious alternatives.
