Our Ultimate Game Day Drinks

If you don’t already have Sunday, February 12, circled in your calendar, you had better do so now. Super Bowl LVII is nearly upon us, and at Old Tennessee Distilling, we’re stocked up and ready to help make your game-day celebrations unforgettable. 

If you’re anything like us, you’ve already got a game plan for your chips and dip, buffalo wings, and nacho ingredients. But don’t rely on a Hail Mary for your drinks menu; your friends and family will thank you later. We have nothing against an ice-cold game-day beer, but as the Super Bowl happens just once a year, we suggest adding some variety to the mix. We’re also not talking about any old whiskey and lime here; Arizona is hosting the Super Bowl this year, so the Grand Canyon State itself inspires our drinks suggestions. 

While Old Tennessee Distilling Co. remains firmly loyal to the Tennessee Titans, we’ll be dipping into refreshing and colorful ingredients to evoke all things Arizona. Starting with Arizona’s state drink, we’re making lemonade – with a twist.

Vodka Lemonade Recipe

• 6 oz. fresh lemonade (if you can’t find fresh lemonade, choose an unsweetened store-bought option) 
• 2 oz. Tuckaleechee Premium Vodka
• Orange or grapefruit slice for garnish
• Spring of rosemary

Pour the vodka into a tall glass over ice cubes. Bruise the rosemary, so it releases its aroma before adding it to the glass. Top it off with cold lemonade and garnish with a citrus slice. 

Next is a marriage of Arizona and a little bit of East Tennessee: the Little River Sweet Tea. Transport yourself to the desert with our premium moonshine cocktail, ideal when accompanied by game-day brownies. 

Little River Sweet Tea Recipe

• 2 oz. Dumplin Creek Little River Lemon Moonshine
• 6 oz. sweet tea
• A dash of honey

Pour the moonshine into a tumbler over ice. Stir in the honey and top off the glass with sweet tea. Add some mint leaves if you are looking for a garnish.
