Our Favorite Moonshine Flavors
It’s no secret that moonshine is one of our favorite beverages. Our favorite part about the drink, besides the distilling process, is the number of flavors we can create from the same base. Yes, whiskey is excellent, and different bottles taste different, but you still have the same general smoky and deeply complex notes. With moonshine, different flavors provide wildly different tastes, and that is just the beginning.
Our 60 proof Apple Pie Moonshine is a classic. This jar is as good as grandma’s recipe and can be enjoyed straight or in numerous cocktails. Our favorite is our Caramel Apple Martini – it’s comprised of one oz. of Dumplin Creek Apple Pie Moonshine, one oz. of Dumplin Creek Salted Caramel Moonshine (another fan favorite), and two oz. of apple cider. While this is enjoyed more often during the fall, it can be consumed and loved year-round, much like apple pie itself.
A summertime favorite is our Toasted Mango Moonshine. In the south, you can’t have a party (or a meal, for that matter) without some good ole fashioned sweet tea. We like to take our tea up a notch by adding some of our mango-infused ‘shine to get the party started. When making a glass, add an ounce or two of this heavenly creation to your tea; when serving up a pitcher for a party, add a cup or two for added flavor and depth. This same recipe is also delicious with our Red Haven Peach Moonshine. All you have to decide is if you want mango or peach sweet tea.
This one is for the hard hitters. Our 100 proof Tennessee Frost is made from heirloom corn grown in East Tennessee. This moonshine embodies the true history and soul of ‘shine, and we know our grandfathers would be proud. Our customers generally shoot this straight to get the party started, but it also makes an incredible margarita. You’ll simply add one oz. of Dumplin Creek Tennessee Frost to one oz. of our Tail of the Dragon Triple Sec and combine with one oz. of raspberry syrup, and one oz. of lime juice. This margarita adds life to any party and goes great with just about any meal!
This one is for the real hard hitters. Our 140.7 proof moonshine will put some hair on your chest. With over 70% ABV, you only need to add an ounce or two of this to any mixer to hit your limit for the day. Please drink responsibly and have your friends record anything you may accidentally get into after a few shots of this.
