Event: Thunder Road Distillery at the Smokies Festival

Stop by for a sample of Thunder Road Distillery’s best spirits on June 27 at The Tennessee Spirits at the Smokies Festival. Thunder Road distiller, Dwight Bearden, will be at the event for a meet and greet. Dwight has been distilling for 53 years, since he was six years old! He knows first hand about the time-honored, family tradition of moonshine distilling.

This new festival, hosted by the Tennessee Smokies in partnership with the Tennessee Distillers Guild,  will take place at the Smokies Stadium on Saturday, June 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The four-hour event promises to be filled with food, live entertainment, and the best moonshine and spirits in Tennessee.

With the purchase of a ticket, guests also receive a 5 0z. commemorative glass for unlimited tastings. It is recommended that guests bring designated drivers for their parties. To encourage safe arrival and departure for all guests, drivers receive free admission to the festival and free, unlimited soft drinks.

Tickets are currently $50 per guest, and are available for purchase here or by calling the Smokies Ticket Office at (865) 286-2300. Tickets will be available at the door on June 27 for $55.

The festival will benefit the Remote Area Medical® and the Tennessee Distillers Guild.

Guests must be 21 years or older to attend.
