Best Holiday Cocktail Recipes to Enjoy This Christmas
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…to enjoy a cocktail. While the fresh, light flavors of drinks in the spring and summer months are unbeatable, there’s just nothing like cozying up with a cocktail in the winter months. Not only do you get to enjoy the delicious flavors of apple, caramel, chocolate, peppermint, and cranberry, but you can have your drink cold or hot!
Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite Christmas cocktail recipes to get you in the holiday spirit. So, cozy up with a blanket, grab a glass, and decide which of these three recipes you’ll mix up tonight!
Mulled Apple Cider
There’s nothing like a hot (spiked!) apple cider on the stove or in the crockpot to warm you up on a cold night. All you need are your favorite holiday spices and some apple cider!
1 gallon apple cider
1 apple, sliced
3 cinnamon sticks
4 star anise
1 tablespoon whole cloves
1 tablespoon allspice
1 ½ cups Cal F. Johnson Black Mountain Spiced Rum
Combine all ingredients (except rum) in a dutch oven or crock pot. Simmer for three hours on the stove or two hours on low in the crock pot. Then, add rum and serve!
Boozy Eggnog Coffee
Just like Bloody Marys and pickleback shots, you either love or hate eggnog. If you can’t get enough of it around the holiday season, try out our recipe! This can be enjoyed cold or warm.
2 oz. Happy Holiday ‘Nog Cream Liqueur
4 oz. Cold brew coffee (or regular hot coffee, if you want a warm drink!)
Festive Cranberry Mule
Who can say no to a festive cocktail garnished with cranberries? Couldn’t be us. Here’s our holiday twist on the classic Moscow Mule.
2 oz. cranberry juice
3 oz. ginger beer
Squeeze of fresh lime juice
1 ½ oz. Dumplin Creek Vodka
Fresh or frozen cranberries (for garnish)
Add the cranberry juice, vodka, and squeeze of fresh lime juice to your cocktail shaker and mix it up. Pour over ice, then top with ginger beer and cranberries.
