Best Drinks for March Madness
March Madness is just around the corner with the 2021 NCAA Tournament taking place from Thursday, March 18th until Monday, April 5th. The last few weeks of March are some of the most exciting for college basketball fans – and we can’t blame you for constantly checking to see how your bracket is doing! There’s no better time than back-to-back days of basketball games to enjoy some good drinks, especially if you’re hosting a watch party for friends. We’ve put together a few classic drink recipes below for cheering on your favorite teams this March Madness.
The Slam Dunk
1 ½ oz. Thunder Road Whiskey
3 oz. coke
½ cranberry juice
Lemon juice
This twist on a classic is a great staple drink to have on hand. Start by adding the whiskey to a glass filled with ice. Squeeze in some lemon juice and add the cranberry juice. Top with coke.
The Shooting Guard
2 oz. Thunder Road Bourbon
0.5 oz maple syrup
5 dashes orange bitters
Orange rind
Cherry for garnishing
The Shooting Guard position is all about accuracy and reliability. In honor of this position, try out the classic Old Fashioned cocktail for a smooth and honest taste. Start by muddling the syrup, bitters, and orange rind at the bottom of a glass. Add in some ice and pour in the bourbon. Garnish with a cherry or orange slice for serving.
Nothing But Net
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Thunder Road Whiskey
½ oz. vanilla syrup
2 oz. orange juice
1 ½ oz. lime soda
Orange slice for garnishing
Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake until combined. Pour over ice into a glass and garnish with an orange slice.
Front and Center
½ oz. vodka
½ oz. white rum
½ oz. gin
½ oz. white tequila
½ oz. Tail of the Dragon Triple Sec
⅓ cup Coke
Lemon for garnishing
Ice
Add ice and all ingredients aside from the Coke into a shaker. Shake vigorously until everything is well mixed. Pour into a glass and top off with the Coke. Add lemon slices for garnishing and enjoy!
