Summer Drink Recipes
There’s nothing better than a cool drink on a hot summer day, especially when it’s a cocktail you crafted up yourself. This summer, be everyone’s favorite bartender when you serve up options that will be sure to please all of your guests. From frozen margaritas and fruity cocktails to whiskey lemonades, we’ve got you covered at Old Tennessee Distilling Company. With the season in full swing, we thought we’d share a few of our favorite summer drink recipes for you to make at home!
Frosty Margarita
- 3 oz. Tennessee Frost Moonshine
- 2 oz. lime juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup (sugar mixed with water)
- ½ tsp. orange liqueur
- 1 tbsp. Margarita salt
Shake Tennessee Frost Moonshine, lime juice, simple syrup, orange liqueur, and ice in a cocktail shaker for 30 seconds until everything is well blended. Take a cocktail glass and press the rim of it into the margarita salt. Strain the combined margarita mixture into the glass. Serve with a wedge of lime on the rim for a finishing touch.
Whiskey Lemonade
- 2 oz. Thunder Road Corn Whiskey
- 1 oz. lemon juice (or 3 oz. fresh lemonade)
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- club soda for topping
Add the whiskey, lemon juice (or lemonade), and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until everything is well combined. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass filled with ice and top with club soda. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of lemon.
Strawberry Mojito
- 2 oz. Renegade Rum
- 2 medium strawberries
- 3 mint sprigs
- 0.5 oz. simple syrup
- club soda for topping
Muddle the fresh strawberries and mint with the Renegade Rum in a cocktail shaker. Add in simple syrup and club soda to taste. Shake all ingredients together in the cocktail shaker until mixed. Strain the combination into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a strawberry, lime wedge, and fresh mint sprig.
