St. Patrick’s Day Drinks
This St. Patrick’s Day falls on Wednesday, March 17. For many within the Irish Culture, this day typically entails a large celebration with parades, food, music, dancing, and drinking. With the pandemic lockdown still in place, it may not be an option to go out to pubs and bars to celebrate. However, we’ve got the solution for you to keep the festive spirit alive at home. Try a few of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day drink recipes to celebrate the holiday!
Shamrock Sour
2 tablespoons lime juice
0.75 oz. tablespoon lemon juice
0.5 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. Irish whiskey or Butcher’s Bourbon
3 dashes of bitters
Green food coloring
Lime wedges
Add all ingredients and one drop of green food coloring to a shaker and shake vigorously until combined. Strain over ice and serve garnished with lime wedges.
Iced Irish Coffee
1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
1 ½ ounces Irish whiskey
2 oz. creme brulee cream liqueur
½ cup heavy cream
1 oz. vanilla coffee creamer
Ice
Fill a glass with ice and pour in coffee, whiskey, cream liqueur, and heavy cream. Top with coffee creamer and stir all ingredients until well combined.
Pot of Gold Cocktail
2 ounces Dumplin Creek Vodka
1/2 oz. elderflower liqueur (or syrup)
4 slices cucumber
8 fresh mint leaves
1 oz. ginger beer
Mint leaves for garnishing
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber and mint. Add the vodka and elderflower liqueur and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a cucumber slice and mint leaves to serve. Read recipe tips and variations here.
Clover Club
2 oz. Dumplin Creek Gin
0.5 oz. lemon juice
0.5 oz. raspberry syrup
Lemon slices or raspberries (optional)
Pour the gin over ice into a whisky glass. Add in the lemon juice and raspberry syrup and stir until combined. Garnish with fresh raspberries or a slice of lemon.
