National Vodka Day
Vodka is a household name when it comes to liquor. The versatile drink is a clear distilled alcoholic beverage with history in Poland, Russia, and Sweden. The word vodka comes from the Russian word “voda,” which means “water.” It has been widely debated whether vodka originated in Poland or Russia but it is believed that the first glass of vodka was produced in Russia in the 9th century. Vodka is widely used for many drinks, ranging from vodka and soda water to screwdrivers and more.
There are a few ways you can celebrate National Vodka Day this October 4th. Our personal favorite is infusing your vodka with ingredients like vanilla, lemons, or even sour gummy worms! At Old Tennessee Distilling Company, we proudly offer two different vodkas – the Tuckaleechee Vodka and the Dumplin Creek Vodka. You can make tons of cocktails with our spirits, so here are a few of our favorites!
