Get a Taste of Moonshine on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail
Tennessee is known for its music, hospitality, the Smoky Mountains, and, most importantly—its moonshine and whiskey! To help capture the independent spirit of Tennessee and the long history of distillation in the region, over thirty local distillers have created the Tennessee Whiskey Trail.
A digital Tennessee Whiskey Trail passport gives you access to planned trips and trails through the Mideast regions to experience the authentic tradition and taste of Tennessee spirits. At each stop, meet iconic distillers, take behind-the-scenes tours, enjoy the beauty of the open roads, and immerse yourself in the local whiskey-loving culture.
Attention White Whiskey Lovers
Old Tennessee Distilling Co. is one of eight different white whiskey distilleries along a fifteen-mile stretch of the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. Known as the Moonshine Mayhem trip, you’ll start in Kodak (at Old Tenessee Distilling Co.) and wind your way to Gatlinburg, tasting some of the best white whiskey in Sevier County, TN. Consider it your own Thunder Road, following in the footsteps of the prohibition-era whiskey runners.
As one of the first stops on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail routes, we will bring out some of our best white whiskey for you to savor.
Sample Our Dumplin Creek Moonshine
Moonshine is white whiskey (unaged and unfinished) distilled from corn, sugar, yeast, and water. Old Tennessee Distilling Co. has been making our moonshine since 2014, providing naked grain spirits that ignore convention and constraint—the essence of historic Tennessee outlaws and renegades. With flavor options that stretch from French Vanilla to Autumn Maple, this is heirloom corn like you haven’t yet experienced.
Try Our Strawberry Spritzer
Mix all the ingredients below with ice in a lowball tumbler. Enjoy the fresh taste of 60-proof strawberries.
Old Tennessee Distilling Co. Premium American Whiskey
For those who want the more aged taste of malted barley and wheat, you can always try our Premium American Whiskey. Smooth yet strong, this 100-proof spirit can be savored neat or included in traditional highball cocktails such as the whiskey sour or an old fashioned.
Sid’s Select Butcher’s Bourbon
If the classic whiskey does not meet your refined sensibilities, you must try Sid’s Select Butcher’s bourbon. Bourbon is a type of American whiskey distilled from at least 51% corn, but we added some notes of vanilla and caramel for a long finish. Best enjoyed neat or with a palate-cleansing glass of cold water.
10-Year-Old Butcher’s Bourbon
And for those who need the full robust flavors of barrel-aged whiskey, we serve a 10-year-old bourbon. Enjoy fuller fruit notes with almost no burn. Be sure to try it as a whiskey sour!
Butcher’s Bourbon Whiskey Sour
Combine bourbon, lemon juice, ice, and lemon juice in a mixer. Shake vigorously. Strain into a lowball tumbler with the bitters. Garnish with an orange wheel.
