Daylight Savings Time Means There’s More Time to Drink Outside!
March 14th is Daylight Savings, which means we gain an extra hour of daylight. A week later, we will see warm, Spring weather. At Old Tennessee Distilling Co., we don’t think this extra hour of daylight and nice weather should go to waste. We can’t think of a better excuse to fit in some more outside drinking than these upcoming Spring and Summer evenings. Here are a few ways for you to make the most of the extra hour of light, nice weather, and even better drinks.
Try a New Drink at an Outdoor Restaurant
If you’re looking to get out of the house, try visiting a new or favorite outdoor restaurant and ordering a drink you haven’t tried before. With the pandemic still a concern, many bars are offering outdoor seating, and now you can finally take advantage of it! Simply find an evening when the weather is nice and invite your partner or friend along for some good company.
Take a Relaxing Evening to Yourself
We’re all familiar with how stressful work and daily life, in general, can be. Sometimes, the best way to unwind is by taking some time to yourself, with a strong drink, of course. Rather than reaching for a beer, trying mixing it up with an Old Fashioned using our Thunder Road Whiskey, or go for a Gin and Tonic with our Dumplin Creek Gin. We recommend pouring yourself a drink and sitting outside to take in the fresh air. This will work wonders, trust us.
Host a Small Outdoor Gathering with Friends or Neighbors
The longer days mean more time to take advantage of the nice evening weather. Invite a few friends or neighbors over for a fun outdoor evening and treat them to some homemade drinks. Be sure to stock up on alcohol and spirits ahead of time so that you can mix up some fun drink recipes to serve to your guests.
There’s no better way to enjoy the long days, nice weather, and good company than with a tasty drink in hand. At Old Tennessee Distilling Co., we’ve got countless spirits for whatever fun outdoor activity you’ve got planned. If you’re unsure of where to begin, stop by our store for free tastings or visit our website to explore our many spirit options.
