Our Process
A great moonshine doesn’t require a complicated recipe. Our master distillers start with a simple base: corn, sugar, yeast, and water. The mixture is then processed in steps until out comes the most flavorful moonshine this side of the Smokies. Our secret to achieving our award-winning taste is the pride we take in this long-established trade. In order to produce top-shelf moonshine, we work with local fields and providers to use only the best ingredients. Our liquid gold is then siphoned into handmade, local bottles and sold to customers looking to buy from the best.
Moonshine Heaven
One of the beauties of moonshine is the ability to infuse a wide range of flavors while still keeping that signature burn that’s part of the spirit’s iconic taste. At Old Tennessee Distilling Co., we craft a wide selection for every tastebud and flavor profile. Our moonshine selection offers a total of 16 flavors with everything from French Vanilla to Little River Lemon. In the mood for something a bit more classic? Our traditional shine, Tennessee Frost, is made with classic heirloom corn grown right in the heart of East Tennessee. This 100 proof spirit is an ode to the traditional art of shine and winner of the 2016 Seattle International Spirits Gold Medal. Feeling something a little more tropical for the summer heat? Our Watermelon Falls Moonshine, another award winner, is perfect to mix into a margarita or mojito for a flavorful cocktail.
