Best Halloween Drinks
Spooky season is here, and if you’re anything like us, you like to keep things festive. Halloween typically involves getting together with friends and family, oftentimes with a few little, screaming ghouls to get the blood pressure up. So what better way to keep things festive (and relaxing) than some Halloween-themed libations? Keep reading for two of our favorites!
Apple Cider Mimosas
There’s an old saying, “you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning.” We couldn’t agree more. But why sacrifice your seasonal craving for something fruity if there is a better option? Enter the apple cider mimosa! Never heard of it? Good, because we’re convinced we invented it. The labor for this drink is front-loaded, but we promise it’s worth it. Take your glass of choice, turn it upside down (while empty – you wouldn’t think we would have to specify, but you just never know) and dip the rim into some caramel apple dip. Then, take your glass and give it a dash of cinnamon sugar just like a salted margarita glass! Next, simply pour in your favorite champagne or sparkling wine, add a dash of apple cider, and your Halloween is off to an excellent start!
Slow Cooker Spiked Apple Cider
Everyone loves some hot apple cider from a crockpot – we know this – but what if you could make it even better? Spiked apple cider takes this seasonal favorite to a whole new level. The best part? It’s one of the easiest – and possibly only – party beverages that can be kept kid-friendly all while providing a quick and easy fill up for the adults. How? Simply keep the alcohol to the side so that kids can have some cider, and the adults can fortify theirs to their liking.
All you need to do to make this dream a reality is to throw a gallon of cider in the crockpot, add a few cinnamon sticks, a few apple slices (optional but recommended) and let it go! Keep some brandy to the side, and the only Halloween fright you’ll feel is if the pours get too heavy!
